Pick your shape, pick your sauce — made on site, from £7.90
Every pasta on this list is built the same way: you pick the shape, we take it from there. The pasta itself is extruded on the premises each morning from semolina and water — not delivered dry in a box, not defrosted, not sitting cooked in a tray waiting for you.
The counter menu splits in two. Tomato-based runs from Pomodoro e Basilico and Arrabbiata through Norma and Salsiccia to Bolognese and Amatriciana. Creamy covers Pesto, Pollo, Alfredo, Tartufo, Carbonara and Gamberi.
Six shapes: penne, rigatoni, spaghetti, fusilli, bigoli and fettuccine. Gluten-free penne is available, cooked in separate water.
From £7.90 at the counter. X-Large portion +£2. Sauces are made in-house, with no additives and no preservatives, and Parmesan is served on the side so the vegan dishes stay vegan.
Find us at 123 City Road, London EC1V 1JB — a short walk from Old Street station, the Old Street roundabout and the south end of Shoreditch.
Buying fresh pasta in London
Where to buy fresh pasta in Old Street
Bigoli is a fresh pasta counter at 123 City Road, two minutes from Old Street station. Every pasta on this page is extruded here in the morning from semolina and water, then cooked to order when you ask for it — pick your shape, pick your sauce. Counter prices start at £7.90, and an X-Large portion is £2 on top of any pasta.
It is not a dried-pasta shop and not a sit-down restaurant. The full counter menu lists every dish and what it costs, and opening hours and directions covers how to find the shop.

Before you ask
Questions about the pasta
Which pasta dishes are vegan?
Pomodoro e Basilico, Arrabbiata and Aglio Olio Peperoncino, plus the Vegetarian Pasta. Parmesan is always served on the side, so it is your decision, and there is no egg in the dough. Ask at the counter about anything else.
Do you do gluten-free pasta?
Gluten-free penne, cooked in separate water. The kitchen still handles gluten, nuts, dairy, egg and crustaceans, so it is not a gluten-free kitchen and we cannot guarantee any dish is free from any allergen. Tell us before you order and we will talk you through it.
Which dishes contain nuts or crustaceans?
Anything made with pesto contains nuts. Gamberi is a prawn dish and contains crustaceans, as does the prawn topping. Ask at the counter before you order and we will tell you exactly what is in a dish.
How much is a portion?
Pasta starts at £7.90 at the counter. An X-Large portion is £2 on top, on any pasta. It is the same price whether you eat in or take it away.
What are the six shapes?
Penne, rigatoni, spaghetti, fusilli, bigoli and fettuccine, all extruded on site. Bigoli is the thick pasta from the Veneto that the shop is named after.
Can I order on this website?
No, and that is deliberate. Pick your shape and sauce here, then order at the counter at 123 City Road or by telephone on 020 3838 2015. Deliveroo and Uber Eats deliver, at their own menu prices.
What is the food hygiene rating?
Food Hygiene Rating 5, inspected by Hackney Council on 24 July 2026. Every dish on this page is made in that kitchen at 123 City Road.
