Spaghetti, made here every morning
Spaghetti is one of the six fresh pasta shapes we make at Bigoli Fresh Pasta: the default, best with oil and tomato. We make it at 123 City Road, London EC1V 1JB, by the Old Street roundabout, a short walk from Shoreditch.
Which of our sauces suit spaghetti
Any sauce works with any shape, and choosing a shape is no extra charge. These are the sauces on our menu that point to spaghetti:
- Aglio Olio Peperoncino: garlic and chilli in olive oil, with parsley and cherry tomatoes. Spaghetti and bigoli are the usual picks.
- Carbonara: pancetta, egg yolk, cream, Pecorino Romano and Parmesan. Contains egg and milk. Spaghetti or bigoli suit it best.
- Bolognese: beef ragù and tomato sauce.
- Pomodoro e Basilico: tomato sauce, basil, olive oil and garlic.
- Arrabbiata: spicy tomato sauce, parsley, olive oil, chilli and garlic.

Made from durum wheat semolina and water
Our spaghetti is extruded on site every morning from durum wheat semolina and water, pushed through a brass die in the shop before the doors open. There is no egg in the dough. None of this pasta is dried, frozen or bought in. The sauces are made in-house, and every plate is cooked to order, ready in minutes.
How to order spaghetti
Come to the counter and say the sauce first and the shape second. Pasta is from £7.90 at the counter, and an X-Large portion is £2 more. Eat in or take it away; there is nothing to book. We are open Monday to Thursday and Sunday 11:00 to 23:00, and until midnight on Friday and Saturday, and we take orders right up to closing time. You can also call us on 020 3838 2015. For delivery, use Deliveroo or Uber Eats, which set their own prices, higher than the counter.

Questions about spaghetti
What is the difference between spaghetti and bigoli?
Bigoli is noticeably thicker than spaghetti and its surface is rough rather than glossy, so it holds on to a heavier sauce. Both are on our counter menu. More about bigoli.
Is your spaghetti vegan?
Our fresh pasta is vegan (durum wheat semolina and water, no egg). Pair it with a vegan sauce: ask our team.
