Fusilli, made here every morning
Fusilli is one of the six fresh pasta shapes we make at Bigoli Fresh Pasta: spirals that trap pesto and cream. We make it at 123 City Road, London EC1V 1JB, by the Old Street roundabout, a short walk from Shoreditch.
Which of our sauces suit fusilli
Any sauce works with any shape, and choosing a shape is no extra charge. Our menu splits sauces into tomatoey and creamy, and for the creamy ones, fusilli and fettuccine hold them best:
- Pesto: basil pesto, roasted pine nuts and sun-dried tomato. Contains nuts and milk.
- Pollo: chicken, broccoli, sun-dried tomato, pesto and Parmesan. Contains nuts and milk.
- Alfredo: chicken, mushroom and onion in a cream and Parmesan sauce. Contains milk.
- Tartufo: mushroom and truffle paste in cream, finished with Parmesan. Contains milk.
- Carbonara: pancetta, egg yolk, cream, Pecorino Romano and Parmesan. Contains egg and milk.
- Gamberi: prawns with courgette and chilli in cream. Contains crustaceans and milk.

Made from durum wheat semolina and water
Our fusilli is extruded on site every morning from durum wheat semolina and water, pushed through a brass die in the shop before the doors open. There is no egg in the dough. None of this pasta is dried, frozen or bought in. The sauces are made in-house, and every plate is cooked to order, ready in minutes.
How to order fusilli
Come to the counter and say the sauce first and the shape second. Pasta is from £7.90 at the counter, and an X-Large portion is £2 more. Eat in or take it away; there is nothing to book. We are open Monday to Thursday and Sunday 11:00 to 23:00, and until midnight on Friday and Saturday, and we take orders right up to closing time. You can also call us on 020 3838 2015. For delivery, use Deliveroo or Uber Eats, which set their own prices, higher than the counter.
